RC:
There are a good number of useful drugs for cancer
not available in the US (and vice versa) ranging
from chemotherapies (eg oral navelbine) to adjuvant
agents (eg clodronate)
and immune-enhancing agents (eg Lentinan).
These are drugs that are approved in other countries
and available to US citizens under personal compassionate
import rules of the US FDA(not to
equate or compare with import of US approved drugs
eg Canadian imports). Other cancer treatments
are a process and not any particular drug alone,
an example is the dendritic
cell vaccine therapy which is of
great promise. We routinely advise on the use
of such agents / treatments and assist the patient
in sourcing such agents /treatments as well as
help patients with the necessary documentation
to legitimately import such medication(s) or otherwise
advise and assist with the logistics of participating
in promising treatments internationally outside
of the United States. |
